Portable Fire Fighting Equipment and Fire Alarm System
We do have readily the fire alarm system and the fire extinguishers at strategic positions within the floor we occupy and the building. Hence, it is a criminal office to abuse the usage of any of that equipment or to damage any. Where this is not complied with, it may lead to a disciplinary action being taken against the responsive person.
Emergency Evacuation
As a way of complying with the emergency evacuation we do have the fire action notice displayed in corridors, walkways, classrooms, IT rooms and canteen. This provides relevant information on what to do in case of fire or emergency. Therefore:
• You are required to read those notice so as to know what to do in case of emergency and get direction to the assembly points.
• When the fire alarm rings it is mandatory to vacate the building while following necessary instructions.
• While in classroom, follow the instructions of the teacher and leave behind all properties but make sure nothing is blocking the walkway.
• Do not run in the corridor to avert accidents and make sure you find your way to the assemble point.
• Do not use the lift/elevator in case of fire or emergency and do not go back into the building once you are outside unless you are directed to do so by the designated fire Marshall
Disabled students in emergencies
• If students can walk, they should leave the building with the others. Partially sighted students should be helped to leave.
