LEVEL 5 – DIPLOMA IN EDUCATION AND TRAINING (DET)

LEVEL 3 – DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
This qualification aims to provide learners with the knowledge and skills they need to operate as a successful business administrator. It also allows learners to develop skills in a range of areas relevant to business administration roles. This qualification is part of an apprenticeship and suitable for learners aged 16 and above.
LEVEL 3 – DIPLOMA IN SKILLS FOR BUSINESS
This qualification is for learners aged 16 and above and is suitable for use within a study programme. Ideal for learners who want to develop an understanding of the essential skills required to work successfully in a business environment; this course provides learners with an understanding of business culture and responsibilities. This qualification also helps to develop the skills required to solve problems, communicate and work effectively with others, and allows learners to manage and improve their performance in a business environment. Pathways for this course include; finance, customer service, retail management, human resources, and enterprise.

How You are Assessed
The qualification is not competence-based; however, you may be assessed using simulation via a realistic working environment, to reflect a real work setting. You will need to create a portfolio of evidence which will be internally assessed and externally moderated.
As a Level-3 Diploma, the course is structured with 360 guided-learning hours and 60 credits.
To be awarded the NCFE Level-3 Diploma in Skills for Business, you must achieve a minimum of 6 units (minimum of 60 credits) from a choice of 10 optional units:
- Unit 01: Business Culture and Responsibilities (10 Credits)
- Unit 02: Deliver Customer Service in a Business Environment (10 Credits)
- Unit 03: Produce Documents in a Business Environment (10 Credits)

LEVEL 3 – CERTIFICATE IN ASSESSING VOCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT (CAVA L3)
This is an assessor qualification and it is an equivalent of the old A1 qualification. Developed for those aspiring to become an assessor of both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, as well as, furthering knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace such as a workshop, classroom, or other training environments.
However, an aspiring assessor in the vocational sector will be required to complete this qualification with sound knowledge and understanding of the following:
- The Principles and Practices of Assessment
- How to Assess Occupational Competence in the Work Environment
- How to Assess Vocational Skills, Knowledge, and Understanding

Please note that we do have both the online-based and the classroom-based lessons for this course. For the classroom-based course, the tuition fee is £750. For the online-based lesson, the tuition fee is £400 (materials inclusive).
Progression
On completion of the CAVA L3, the learner may be required to also complete the following:
- Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Process and Practice
LEVEL 4 – AWARD IN INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE OF ASSESSMENT PROCESS AND PRACTICE
This course enables the learner to practice an Internal Verifier or Moderator of Internal Quality Assurance personnel role.
It is more relevant to learners who maintain the quality of assessment from within an organisation or a learning centre. Hence the learner will be required to complete the following two units:
- The Principles and Practices of Internally Assuring the Quality of Assessment
- How to Internally Assure the Quality of Assessment
