These qualifications are a competence-based qualification which requires candidates to demonstrate the skills and knowledge required when working in the retail industry and is ideal for those working in their first retail management role, or those who wish to progress in their retail career. Candidates must be 16 to undertake this qualification.

THE LEVEL 3 AND 4 QUALIFICATIONS FORM PART OF THE ADVANCED APPRENTICESHIP IN RETAIL

 

This qualification allows you to develop and demonstrate the skills and knowledge required when working in the retail industry. It’s ideal for those working in a managerial or supervisory role or who wish to progress in their retail sales career. It’s suitable for adult learners to complete as a standalone qualification to confirm occupational competence whilst working in a more senior retail sales role.

You will develop the skills and knowledge required to work in a senior retail sales role, as well as completing units that cover the transferable skills desired by employers such as team work, health and safety, and customer service.

You will need to complete one mandatory unit to achieve this qualification:

  • Unit 01 Work effectively and support others in a retail organisation (10 credits)

In this unit you’ll understand how your team contributes to the success of the wider organization as well as your own role within your team, be able to support effective working within a retail team and understand what can improve self-motivation and that of your colleagues in a retail environment. You’ll be able to improve your own work performance in your retail team and be able to help others to learn in a retail environment.

There are also a number of optional units for you to choose from depending on your interests and requirements. You need to complete 43 credits to achieve this qualification.
